Built in 1395 by King Taejo, the founder of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung Palace served as
the primary residence for the royal family. It is the largest and has the most beautiful
architectural style of the five palaces
in Seoul. The National Folk Museum, located within the palace compound, showcases Korean social
and traditional lifestyles, featuring an array of exhibits that showcase religious rituals,
housing, clothing, food, and the social dynamics of traditional Korean society
